"And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.” – Genesis 3:15 (NIV)
In Genesis 3, the world changed forever.
After a perfect and harmonious universe had been created by God in Genesis 1 and 2, a world altering event changes the course of human history. Sin enters the stage, and with it came pain, sickness, and brokenness that touch every part of our lives. Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), like many other struggles, is a reminder that creation is not as God first intended it to be.
But right in the middle of judgment, God gave a promise: one day, the offspring of the woman would crush the evil serpent’s head. A child would be born who would overturn the brokenness. This was the first glimpse of Jesus, who would come to defeat sin, Satan, and death.
That gives us tangible hope. It means our children—including those on the spectrum—are not abandoned to a broken world. Jesus has already won the decisive victory, and one day He will make all things new (Revelation 21:5). Their worth is secure in Him, and their hope is sure.
This week, let’s hold fast to God’s promise:
Sin brought brokenness, but Christ brings redemption.
Jesus’ victory includes every child.
The struggles of today will give way to the joy of eternity.
With love and hope in Christ,
The Nione Initiative Foundation Team
